About JLHPRINT

Where it all started!

JLHPRINT started as a tiny dot of paint on a canvas back in 2019 after we rescued our first dog, Ghost from our local dog charity, strayaid. He's deaf and partially sighted.

I painted a portrait of him, just for our house, I posted this online and from there interest arose. I started painting friends and family's pets through the pandemic and then alongside side a full time job, multiple jobs and some point.

Roll on 2022, I started to put more in to JLHPRINT , attending markets & events and the business started to grow.

I have now won; Highly commended twice in the young traders of the year semi finals for arts&crafts. We have also won Theo Paphitis, small business Sunday.

Now 2024 we run a full time business trading each weekend at Durham outdoor market, working alongside our local dog charity, strayaid, donating back to these and also RTMINDS, helping with mental health and suicide prevention via art therapy.

We also run "Paint your own pet" workshops in multiple venues around the North East.

Sustainable clothing range:

We work closely with a range of our local chairty shops and vintage suppliers to prevent clothing going to landfill.

Chairty shops: we work with last on line chairty shops, meaning if they don't sell in here they go to landfill or the rag man!

I then individually handpick all the blank clothing from here. It then all gets washed and dried, sometimes even dyed. Bringing the clothing back to life. Then printed with original designs.

This not only saves clothing going to landfill , but makes each piece completely unique.
